Shipping policy

All orders (with the exception of preordered items or orders containing preordered items) are processed within three business days (excluding weekends and holidays) of receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. Orders containing Presale items will ship upon arrival of Presale items in our warehouse. 

SHIPPING RATES & ESTIMATES

Shipping charges and estimated delivery times for your order are calculated and displayed at checkout. Rates hinge on the weight and dimensions of a given order. Inflation regularly impacts postal rates, and it will always be more expensive to ship the same music on larger, heavier formats (i.e. LP vs CD), especially when travelling great distances, and when packages are tracked and insured. We strongly recommend utilizing tracking options offered by our shipping partners. Please note: Tracked Packet and Xpresspost options include tracking and insurance. Standard, Small Packet Surface Mail, and Small Packet Air Mail options DO NOT include tracking or insurance. As a result, such shipments cannot be tracked once they leave our warehouse. We appreciate that shipping costs have increased and continue to do so, but strongly recommend that you select shipping modes that offer tracking when placing orders over $15 value. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. The buyer assumes all responsibilities of claims made with the shipping carrier and all duties/fees incurred on the shipment. 

SHIPPING TIMES
Purchased items (with the exception of preordered items or orders containing preordered items) will be shipped within 3-5 business days of the order being placed, though most will be shipped within 2 to 3 business days. Anything ordered with a preorder won't ship until the preorder ships. If you need something delivered before a preorder's release date, you will need to place a separate order for the non-preorder item. Preorders are processed in chronological order, with earlier orders shipping before later orders. Estimated standard lead times are not guaranteed, especially during busy seasons such as the holidays. Most domestic orders are received within 1 week of ship date. Depending on customers' preferred shipping mode, standard delivery time for international shipping is 3-6 weeks from date shipped, but may on occasion take longer. Faster shipping modes are available at a premium.  Custom laws differ by country, and orders may be held and inspected by customs which will delay delivery.

LOCAL PICKUP

If you live in the Hamilton area, you can save shipping fees with free local pickup on specific dates and times. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick-up within the next available window (presale/preorder items excepted). We will send you an email when your order is ready, along with instructions. Customers ordering presale/preorder items with Local Pickup will be advised of item availability via email when item becomes available. Local Pickup hours are 10am-2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays (holidays excepted), with fulfilment through our headquarters at 200 Caroline Street North, Hamilton. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Sonic Unyon is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.  Sonic Unyon Records and Sonic Unyon web shop is not responsible for international shipping delays, such as customs delays and is not responsible for any customs duties or taxes. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. The buyer assumes all responsibilities of claims made with the shipping carrier and all duties/fees incurred on the shipment. 

ORDER STATUS

If you have selected a mode of shipping with tracking, once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 30 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at office@sonicunyon.com with your name and order number, and we will investigate and follow up with you promptly.
