Camouflage Nights is a sprawling, eclectic quasi-rock/semi-electro thing headed by multi-instrumentalists/producers Rob Benvie and Ian McGettigan, inspired by a shared love of thuggish beats, raucous sounds both synthetic and natural, and instantly gratifying hooks. Along with Benvie and McGettigan assuming multi-instrumental and production roles, many friends and allies were recruited, including Buck 65, Feist, Chris Murphy (Sloan), wanted felon/MC Dukey Denzel Snipes, and others. The many tracks serve as a loose concept formed around the idea of the party and the varied forces within: socialization, romance, humiliation, melancholy.
